Łagiewniki. The Divine Mercy Sanctuary
The Divine Mercy Sanctuary in Krakow district of Łagiewniki is a world center of Divine Mercy, and place wher St. Faustina Kowalska is buried. Faustina is numbered by theologians among the greatest mystics of the Church. She was a simple nun, who lived in Warsaw and Krakow, where she died at the age of 33 shortly before World War II. Throughout her life, she reported a number of visions of Jesus and conversations with Him, which she wrote about in her diary.
